190: Letting go of the Outcome
In this episode, we explore the powerful shift from outcome-based goals—like hitting a certain number on the scale or achieving a specific result—to process-based goals that focus on the daily actions within your control.
While outcome goals can feel motivating, they often lead to pressure, perfectionism, and feelings of failure when the result isn’t achieved, even when meaningful progress is made. Instead, process-based goals offer a more supportive, sustainable path by helping you build consistency, self-trust, and confidence through small, intentional behaviors.
By focusing on what you can do each day—like pausing before eating, creating supportive routines, or caring for your body—you move away from judgment and toward curiosity, ultimately creating a more peaceful and empowered relationship with food and your body.
